In most SIS classrooms, you can also connect to the projector through the AppleTV and AirPlay. You can see this option when you double-click on the iPad's home button quickly.

Select the AppleTV for the room you are in (they are labelled by room number), and ensure 'Mirroring' is on, so you can see the picture on your iPad as well as the screen.

iPad cases

There are hundreds of different iPad cases available to choose from, with designs to suit everyone's taste and budget.
If you are looking to prioritise protection and do not mind the extra weight and bulk, then for the OIS elementary school class iPads we use Survivor cases from Griffin Technologies. They are more expensive than some covers, however they have protected our class iPads successfully through over a year of regular use by young students from KA to Grade 5. They are sometimes available though Amazon.co.jp, although they are not always in stock.
