iCloud is Apple's online storage and file synchonisation solution. Sign up is free, and users get 5GB of free storage space, plus access through a web browser to online versions of Apple's iWork applications.
Users can sign in to their iCloud account from multiple devices (Macs, iPads, iPhones, iPods, even Windows PCs), and synchronise bookmarks, contact information and other data on all of them. iCloud also provides users with an email address and access to useful security tools such as 'Find my iPhone' and 'Find my iPad'. iWork is a suite of applications that work on Mac computers and iOS devices, including iPads and iPhones. There are three main programmes: Pages (for word processing), Numbers (for spreadsheets), and Keynote (for presentations). Users can also use these online via a web browser by logging in to their iCloud account.
Files can automatically be saved in your own iCloud folder on the web, and are updated simultaneously on all your Mac and iOS devices. More information can be found here: http://www.apple.com/creativity-apps/mac/ |
